Dr Mark Levand

Dr. Mark Levand (pronounced “Luh-vond”) is a U.S.-based sexuality educator and researcher who closely examines the intersection of faith and sexuality.  

He has formal training in Catholic theology and human sexuality studies and has worked with adults around issues of faith and sexuality since 2011.  Dr. Levand frequently trains clinical professionals on matters of sexuality, sexual and gender diversity, and religion. 

Dr. Levand studied human sexuality at Widener University’s Center for Human Sexuality Studies where he earned a master’s degree in the education of human sexuality and a doctorate in human sexuality studies after receiving a master’s degree in theology and religious studies from John Carroll University.  He is the Chair of the Education Certification Committee for AASECT and guest-editor of the special issue of the Journal of Sexual and Relationship Therapy on sexuality, religion, & spirituality.  To learn more about his work or get in touch with Dr. Levand, visit www.marklevand.com.
