Non-Demand Sex Therapy

£20.00

This training explores Non-Demand Sex Therapy and how it can help people locked into patterns of expectation involving performance and response pressure.

2 hours CPD

This training introduces and explores Non-Demand Sex Therapy.  This is a therapeutic approach that can remove stress and anxiety from the therapy process and better enable service users to discover ways intimacy works for them.

With the focus on their own experiencing, and unable to seek reassurance from their partner, couples learn to notice and confidently manage their own anxiety. Counter-intuitively, they’re able to recognise and share their needs and wishes more quickly and to take more responsibility for the pace and progress of their therapy programme, with the therapist moving more rapidly into a supervisory rather than directive role.

Content will help build knowledge around:

  • The rationale for non-demand sex therapy.
  • How non-demand sex therapy affects the entire process.
  • How to deliver non-demand sex therapy.
  • How to address blocks within the process.
