Sarah Paton Briggs

Sarah Briggs is an experienced psychosexual therapist and supervisor accredited by COSRT. For many years in her role as a managing partner of The Grove Practice in London, she led and supervised clinical teams in the area of sex and relationship therapy.

Her clinical understanding has evolved while The Grove grew organically from its original conception as a private psychotherapy service into its current incarnation, as a cutting-edge leader in the field of mental health education thegrovepractice.com

As a believer in life-long learning, she extends this knowledge transfer as one of the trainers for The Grove’s suite of CPD courses including trauma therapy, supervision, therapy for couples and other forms of relationship, mental health at work, and child sexual abuse (CSA).

In this field, she authored a chapter in Matt Carey’s book A Small Boy Smiling, to support his work as an advocate for survivors of CSA. Anxiety and depression featured in Matt’s experience in his recovery journey.

Her interest in mind-body approaches to emotional regulation led her to work in equine-facilitated therapy – where non-verbal feedback and relational responses from horses can open up new channels of connection for human clients, either as individuals or teams or couples.
