This self-access class explores the sexual difficulties associated with breast cancer, prostate cancer and their treatments. Issues addressed include:
- Cause and prevalence of frequently encountered treatment-induced sexual difficulties in women and men living with these two common types of cancer
- Assessment of the sexual consequences of breast and prostate cancer
- Integrated psychosexual and bio-medical interventions in sexual rehabilitation
- The role of psychosexual and relationship therapists in the assessment & management of sexual consequences of treatment in partnership with clients, GP’s & treatment teams in cancer units & centres
