Working with Problematic Porn Use and Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Disorder

£25.00

This self-access class offers a biopsychosocial framework for Psychosexual and Relationship Therapists to help clients understand their behaviour and identify how to reach their therapeutic goals.

CPD Hours: 2

Psychosexual and Relationship Therapists are increasingly finding themselves working with individuals and couples who are struggling with problematic online and offline sexual behaviours.

This self-access class begins by equipping Psychosexual and Relationship Therapists with a biopsychosocial lens with which to understand all perspectives, based on a range of sometimes conflicting research.

The main body of the class focuses on exploring the conscious and unconscious function of unwanted behaviours and understanding how helping clients to reach their goals means much more than behaviour change.

This presentation will allow viewers to consider the importance of this insight when working with problematic porn use and compulsive sexual behaviour disorders.

In addition a framework will be offered that encapsulates the core principles of how to help clients develop behaviours of choice, by addressing trauma and attachment wounds, rewriting faulty core beliefs, identifying positive sexuality and establishing long-term behaviour change.

Dr Paula Hall has also created the self-access class; Working with Partners affected by Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Disorder
